Format: 7 double rounds (14 games); US Chess blitz rated; time control game-in-five minutes with no increment or delay; begins at 5 pm on Monday, May 26 (Memorial Day)

Tournament should end around 8 pm. If you need to leave early, just let the TD know.

The entry fee for this tournament is $9 by Thursday 5/22 and $15 up until the day of the event 5/26. There are no prizes for this tournament.

Note about pairings:

This tournament will feature one big open section. For that reason, we plan on using Monrad pairings. Monrad pairings are a variation of Swiss pairings that reduces mismatches. Monrad pairings can be beneficial in sections with wide rating ranges because players are often paired against closely rated opponents under this system.
