The official Maryland State Girls Championship and Haring (Girls: K-12) Qualifier!

This is a US Chess rated Swiss style tournament. There are two different sections for this event, the K-12 U-800 and K-12 Championship. Participants play only against opponents in their own section.  The first round is at 9:00am for both sections.  The tournament concludes around 3:45pm with an awards ceremony where the top players receive trophies.

The Championship section is only open to girls who live in or attend school in MD, the under 800 section is open to girls from any state.

• All sections are non-elimination, and all players participate in all four rounds.
• We provide FREE US Chess Federation memberships for all participants, a $24 value!
• For players using chess clocks, the time control is G/45 with a 5-second time delay.
• Trophies to the top players in each section.
• Prices increase $10 at noon on Tuesday, 2/24 and $10 at noon on Tuesday, 3/10.
